Life has been busy! Here are some things we have been up to...

Baby boy Rhett Harrison Sutarik was born on May 29th. He was a whopping 10 lbs 2 ounces. He was born with lots of hair, and is an easy going little guy.

Scott was home from the USAFA for only 4 days before he left on his mission. This is the day he went through the temple.

Somehow we had time to swim...

Baby Rhett was blessed while Scott was home. This is our church building in Seattle.

We are actually very blessed to have such a busy life recently. It was very busy but very wonderful. Life is good.

BABY BOY!

We have having a baby boy! I know that I am already 26 weeks pregnant, but hey, time goes by fast and I haven't been very diligent about blogging. I am due June 6th. Saydee's 2nd birthday is June 16th. They will be exactly 2 years apart. I don't know why June is our favorite month, but it's a party! We are super excited! Saydee is very cute about the whole thing. She always points to my tummy and says "baby" and gives it a kiss...although she also tries to push babies off my lap if I am holding somebody elses child...hummmm...we will see how this whole thing goes. This baby boy will have to put on his football gear right out of the womb to protect himself from his very busy toddler sister.

UNCLE GOTT!

Uncle "Gott" made a surprise visit home on February 12th. It was Presidents' Day weekend (and Valentine's Day), and it all worked out so perfectly. We picked him up at the airport Friday night, and went to my mom's house. Scott hid in his old room, and then I asked my mom and dad to come see something I had in my bag (which was in Scott's room). Scott jumped out and surprised them both. My mom screamed super loud. I have never heard her scream like that before. Not a horror scream, but a little school girl scream. We were all laughing so hard. He made the surprise visit because he recently received his mission call. He wanted the whole family to be there when he opened it. My was mom especially so happy to see her boy. So in Scott's room he read the letter with his mission call. It was to Salta, Argentina. We were all WAY off on our guesses. At least I guessed a country that started with the right letter. I guessed Australia. Scott will leave at the end of June! He will just barely get to meet our new little baby boy.

RANDOM OTHER STUFF

The weather here in Seattle has been so nice lately. We have been playing outside A LOT! Here is fearless Saydee diving down the slide without the least bit of hesitation.

Aunt Sydney came over for a semi-sleep over. She left late that night with my mom who was at the temple. We watched some awesome (sike) movies..."Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs" and "Night at the Museum 2." Okay, so they weren't totally awesome. The funnest part of the night was the popcorn and just hanging out. Brynlee was there too. Ted too. And me.

This is what I do for my job for UW Family Housing...PARTIES! The Saturday before Valentine's Day I hosted a Valentine's Day Cookie Exchange. We exchanged cookies, and then wrapped up lots, and lots of plates of cookies to give to our neighbors around the complex.

Here is Saydee with her bike. Her favorite part of the entire biking experience is her "elmet." Yes, Saydee loves helmets. She has become obsessed with them lately. She sees people riding bikes all around Seattle, and always points out their helmets. She also makes sure that people are wearing their helmets. We were watching home videos recently of me riding my bike when I was in kindergarten, and I wasn't wearing a helmet. Saydee turned to me and put her hands in the air, and said "elmet mom?" I laughed and said, "yes, mommy should have been wearing a helmet huh?"

In the background you can see Ted and his totally sweet UW slippers that he wears everywhere. I think they are rather ridiculous...he loves them.

Here she is telling us what is on her head, a "elmet." That is why her mouth is open and her tongue is out.

Saydee's Great Grandpa Sutarik gave this "Tickle Me Elmo" to her when she was about 6 months old. We have kept it for her until now. She really loves little Elmo. She takes it outside, and plays with it all the time. He is always in the washer. Poor Elmo.

She also lost a boot while she was swinging. (by the way.)

Life is good. Seattle is great. We are going to Chicago next month to visit family and eat some Fox's pizza. We will take pictures. That is probably when I will be blogging next. See you in March! I hope you are all doing well.

NO Halloween, but other STUFF!

No Halloween pictures, but I will explain. All last week when we dressed Saydee up like a super cute bumble bee for Halloween I thought, SHOOT! I don't have my camera. I must have left it at my mom's house. When we went to my mom's house for Halloween I looked everywhere. IT WAS NO WHERE! Bummer. Finally I found it, after Halloween, while digging for a something in the diaper bag! It was in the very bottom of the diaper bag the whole time! There is my dumb mom moment for the week. I don't have Halloween pictures because my camera was lost in my OWN diaper bag! Watch out for those things.

The pumpkin patch. It was lots of fun, although David and Lindsey came and they were both sick. Saydee and I just waved to them from across the pumpkin patch. I know I am mean, but I am thinkin of my BABY!

Grand-mamamama, as Saydee calls her. She was obsessed with the "fake" cows when we were there. We did not plan on matching Saydee with the cows, by the way.

Fall Fiesta! For my job at UW Family Housing we get to plan fun parties like this one. We had face painting, pony rides, 2 huge bounce houses and a slide, a magic show, and tons and tons of pizza. It was lots of fun.

The Puyallup Fair! This was in September, but I am just now getting the pictures up. I think that Brynlee is in there somewhere!

The "choo-choo." We had a lot of fun, although I lied to the woman taking the tickets because Saydee wasn't quite 2 yet, so she wasn't supposed to ride. She asked, "How close is she to being 2?" I answered..."just a few months..." Doesn't a few months mean like 9 months away?

Our trip all started with this Wendy's in Colorado Springs. We had a good laugh at the color of Wendy's skin. Then it got better. We got our food...it was disgusting, and our Diet Cokes tasted like bleach! I ran back to the guy at the window, and he didn't know what the heck was going on. He was blasting some heavy metal, and said he was from California. He had me taste the pop again, and told me I probably shouldn't drink it. (Duh!) He gave us our money back. We later realized that it was the water that was chlorinated and we were just not used to it. That was one crazy night. We finally made it to our hotel room at like 12:00 midnight.

After our visit to the Air Force Academy we headed to Chicago. This is the outside of Great Grandma and Grandpa's house. Grandpa works so hard in the yard to keep it looking this good when he is almost 90!

This is Tillie. She is the cutest dog ever. We went to visit Saydee's Great-Grandparents down the road. While we were walking she had an "accident." We didn't bring any extra clothes for her, so we visited them with Saydee only in a diaper. I tried to explain to Grandma Virg that I had extra clothes back in our suitcases, but not with me. She was so concerned and didn't understand what I was saying. She gave me money to buy more clothes for her. Thanks Grandma!

We went to the Seattle Temple a couple of times.

My Aunt Heidi and her cute little family were sealed in the Seattle Temple. I have been to other sealings, but there is something super special when a family is sealed, especially when you love them so much.

James and Stephanie Lefevre came for a visit. James and Ted served in Rome, Italy together on their missions. It was fun to get together again and explore Seattle. They are expecting a baby pretty soon!

Yes, we are at Ivar's fish bar again! Have I mentioned that I LOVE that place?

At the zoo again. This time we went and fed the birds. Saydee is holding a stick covered in birdseed and the birds would come right up and eat the seeds. She smiled, she squealed, she loved it!

Ted's 27th Birthday was August 12th. It was super fun. We had a baked potato bar, cake, and opened presents. Why didn't I take pictures!?

Our GOOD GOOD friends Jennifer and Wes are going to have a baby! I am so EXCITED for this. I will have to make a trip out to Utah next summer to see the little "booey woo."

Ted and I are celebrating our 5 year anniversary this Friday, August 21st. We will have to do something fun and then I will post again. Any ideas of what would be fun?

Ted has been doing a Physical Therapy rotation in Federal Way at Apple Physical Therapy and LOVES it. I am so happy that he is SO happy doing what he is going to school for. That also means that I get to go visit my mom a lot...which I totally do not mind because she lives really close to Federal Way. Woot Woot.

In a couple of weeks I get to go with my mom and sisters to visit "Gott" as Saydee calls him, or Scott at the Air Force Academy. It will be super fun to see him after so long. He went through basic training while having Swine Flu, and Pnemonia. Now that he is in the swing of school and studying we are going to interrupt him at Parent's Weekend!

For a week in September Ted, Saydee and I get to go to Chicago and see Ted's family. It will be super fun to visit them. They haven't seen little Saydee in 8 months, and she has grown so much. Ted is also totally EXCITED to go to a BEARS game with his little brother. What-Ev...I think the Bears are dumb. :)

Ulcerative Colitis,a New Job, Easter, a Wedding, and Saydee Walks!

A Wedding:

My sister Lindsey, or "Lindz a Pinz" as I like to call her is now Lindsey Lee Landoe. She was married to David last weekend. They are super happy together. They were married in the Seattle Temple on a beautiful day. It was a super pretty reception and a lot of fun. These are just some random pictures from everything.

Easter:

This Easter was super fun because my mom was the Easter Bunny. Saydee loved the Easter Bunny because she talked like Grandma. This was the Easter Egg Hunt at our apartment complex.

A New Job:

A recently got a new job working for the apartment complex where we live. We were paying $800 per month for rent and now it is free because of my job. I only work 6 hours per week and I can bring Saydee. I also plan monthly community parties, which is super fun. I also do a weekly activity called Kid's Club where school aged kids come and do crafts and games with me. I am really liking it and it is a HUGE blessing.

Saydee is Walking:

Saydee has been cruising long before she could crawl. She is now walking freely although she still crawls a lot. She is a little crazy though. Saydee likes to walk along walls and toys and then just take off running. A lot of time she crashes or falls. She is learning that walking slower is actually safer. She will be 11 months in a couple weeks.

Ulcerative Colitis:

I was recently diagnosed with Ulcerative Colitis. I had a colonoscopy earlier this month and they found trouble. Thankfully I am on medication that is helping a lot. I was so miserable for a few weeks before the medication started to really help. I will spare you the details. You can google it if you want. It isn't pretty. The bummer is that it is a chronic disease and I will be taking medication my entire life. I am feeling much better and I will be just fine. :)

Saydee is 9 Months old today. This is her most recent face she makes when she is excited about something. Isn't it crazy?!

These are some of Saydee's friends. We went to the zoo the other day. She liked the animals okay, but would rather watch the other kids run around and scream.

Aunt Brynlee came for a sleepover, and we went to an under cover playground. They had a little photo shoot.

Did you know that there is a GIANT troll living under a bridge here in Seattle. It is only like 10 minutes away from where we live. I have always heard about it. We went on a little adventure and found it. Kinda a wierd looking thing!

Please...get out of the way little boy! Whatever. :)

This is the newest thing to do in our neighborhood. We have had such nice weather here the past few days. I have been taking little Saydee out to the swings everyday. They are right outside our backdoor. I just have to push her a tiny bit, and say, "wee!" and she laughs and laughs. It makes me laugh. Man, I wish I could fit in that swing!

I caught it! This is the initial laugh and smile.

She saw some other kids riding their little trikes around...I couldn't get her attention for the life of me. :)

"Sweet" Seattle, a Valentine's Special Trip!

For Valentine's Day this year we went to downtown Seattle. When I go to Seattle there are a few things that I like to do. It's not the Space Needle either. These are those things...

My mom went to Goodwill last week and found this super cute dress with the tags still on it from NORDSTROM! I was very impressed by her find. I am trying to learn "the ways" of thrift store shopping.

This is the Christmas present Saydee got from my Aunt Heidi. Ted has nicknamed this toy thing "the miracle." She loves to play in it. It looks so fun that sometimes I see Ted trying to sneak in there with her!

We were back in Seattle for Christmas. Aunt Linz and little Saydee on Christmas morning.

We came back from Chicago and found this...SNOW! It was pretty but the entire city shut down. There were not enough snow plows, salt is "bad for the enviornment" they say here in Seattle, and so...nobody went anywhere. It was pretty funny.

I spent all of Monday putting up the Christmas tree and decorations. Of course my day wouldn't have been complete if I didn't attempt at a photo shoot. I am getting better though! I bought this little Santa outfit for Saydee at the D.I. in Rexburg. She was only about 2 weeks old when I told Ted to watch her and my mom and I went out for a night on the town...to the D.I.! I thought I was being so silly buying it almost 6 months ago but time flies! I hope that all of you had a great Thanksgiving and are getting excited for Christmas. I can bet money that Jennifer Harris has had her tree up for a couple weeks now. :) Love ya Jen!

5 Months...but no bow!

I handed the camera over to Ted for this photo shoot. Of course he did better at taking pictures. He did one horrible, terrible, unmentionable thing...he forgot to put her bow on! What is a mom to do? Anyways, Saydee turned 5 months yesterday. She is so much fun! She would much rather sit up, than be on her tummy for tummy time. She thinks that when she is on her tummy she has to only balance on her tummy. She puts her arms and legs in the air. If I thought I had to do that I would hate to be on my tummy too. One day she will figure it out.

And of course...Ted even got her to laugh! What am I doing wrong?! I did notice that her hair is looking a little red in this picture next to our brown chair.

It all started so good. We got home from church and were so happy. The reason I got the camera out was because we were laughing and having such a good time!

The Pumpkin Patch

Here is Saydee with her Aunt Brynlee holding her and my Aunt Heidi's kids. We had a lot of fun.

We went the the coolest pumpkin patch ever! There were tons of pumpkins, a pumpkin toss with a sling shot, cider, hot dogs, hot cocoa, a craft shop, petting zoo, caramel apples, caramel corn, and corn on the cob. The food was really good. Did I mention they had a lot of it? :) We wedged Saydee in between three pumpkins and she loved it. She was so busy feeling, and scratching the pumpkins she hardly gave us the time of day.

I don't know what this face is all about. One second she was smiling so cute, I took the picture and this is what I got! At least it made me laugh pretty hard.

I guess I wore her out. She loves this little baby papasan chair that her Great Aunt Heidi and Amy got her. She slept for over an hour in this little chair after our photo shoot.

It all started when I put little Saydee on the couch. She wouldn't look at me!

When I did get her to look it sure was sassy!

Then she started to yell and scream. I guess she didn't like it.
I tried to put her on the floor and take her smiling looking up at me, but my fingers got in the way.
After that she let me know that she was "sick" of it.

That is how my day went!

This is my whole family. The neatest part of Saydee's blessing was that my brother Scott was ordained an Elder just an hour before the blessing. He was able to stand in the circle along with Ted of course, and my dad. Saydee had such a beautiful blessing and the spirit was so strong. It was a very special Sunday. He went off to college yesterday. We love and miss him a lot already.

Our whole Shuman side of the family was able to make it. We missed Ted's family, but they still sent their love. In this picture are all of my sisters, my parents, brother, aunts, uncles, cousins, and Saydee's great grandparents. We had a great Sunday.

Saydee was perfect during her blessing and all of sacrament meeting. The rest of church and during pictures...it was a different story. She sure has a lot of personality that is for sure! We love her though, and she definetly makes us laugh!

It's official- We are now residents of the beautiful state of Washington!
Today was Saydee's first full day of going to church.
She is wearing the dress that our good friends Jenn and Wes gave us.

Saydee's special little visitor. Collin gave Saydee a baby kiss, but Saydee told him she couldn't date for another 15 years, 11 months, and one week.

The 4th was a lot of fun, we took Saydee to the parade. She mostly slept and we were all able to have a great time.

Shelby's mom and little sister arrived on Sunday. Its very nice to have the extra help around the house. Saydee is doing great, she is eating and sleeping so well. We are so blessed because not only is she healthy, but also because her personality is so mild. She is so curious and calm which is nice when you have only had 3 hours of sleep at night.
We would also like to thank everyone for the comments and cards, we really appreciate it.

We have decided that Saydee definetly has her mom's nose and ears, and her daddy's love handles- She was 8 lbs 10oz !!!

We have been here at Madison Memorial Since 10:00 pm last night. Shelby is now dialated to 9 cm which means we probably are going to meet Saydee very soon!

Shelby has done amazing, even when the epidural wasn't working the way it was suppose to. She is resting comfortably without any pain.

Rexburg Airshow-Visitors from Provo-Baby Update!

We had a very exciting weekend, Wes and Jennifer Harris (Jenn seen in the picture with Shelby) came to visit us from Provo where Wes is a graduate student. While they were here, the Annual Rexburg Airshow was going on, so we were able to see some cool planes.

P.S -I don't think I have ever seen so many mullets in my life! Living in Idaho teaches an important lesson: Three things attract mullets, airshows, free firework shows, and state fairs.

BABY UPDATE!

Shelby has been having "little" contractions since 5:00 am this morning. This might be it!

Visitors from Chicago

We had some visitors from Chicago here the other night. The bishop from Ted's home ward and his wife stopped by while dropping their daughter off here at BYU-Idaho. It was fun to talk about the crazy Chicago accent, deep dish pizza, and the "ghetto" where Ted grew up. :)

Baby Update!

Here is what's new with baby Saydee:

Shelby is dialated to 3 cm, and the baby is in perfect birthing position.

We decided with Dr. Meredith that if Saydee isnt here by next Thursday, June 19, then Shelby will be induced that morning!

This sunday Ted was released from the bishopric which means he will actually be able to come home after church for the first time in a year and a half.

Ted was sad and excited at the same time, sad because he won't be able to get to know the members like before, but happy, because he has more opportunity to be at home and get ready for Saydee to come!

We named him "Mean Green", but he was far from it. Buying a Lemon is like marrying an attractive guy or girl but later learning after you are married that he or she farts all the time and smells and has really bad breath or only has half a brain or something like that. In the beginning we thought it was great, but then I learned about the true nature of the Volkswagen Jetta.

Lesson learned: Never buy a car unless you really need it and have made sure that it is in good working condition.
